I always loved crocheting, creating and making jewelry for years, but when I was disabled, after working over 30 years in a hospital setting, I found I had the time to really get into it. I used to sell on "another site" but when I discovered Etsy, it was a dream come true for someone like me! I had 3 stores to begin with; one with paper and clay creations, one for crocheted items, especially baby sweaters and bootie and hat sets. Also lots of dolls and their clothing. And one for jewelry.
At first I sold quite a bit, but as the years have gone by, sadly, the economic state of our country has made people less apt to buy right now.
I only have the jewelry store open right now, but I am still hoping that sales will pick up and things will start to sell! I have faith that people really want quality, handmade creations! I would like to open my own internet store eventually, but right now I don't have the finances to do that.
